Get away from the crowds and restrictions of public beaches and enjoy the beautiful barrier islands surrounding Charleston! These tours have extended durations and include time spent going ashore. Have a family picnic, look for shark teeth, observe the local wildlife and plants, and experience the island life.
- Kiawah Island/ Sandy Point: this remote corner of Kiawah Island is boat access only and is a great place to relax and take a stroll on the beach. It’s a haven for bird species, crabs, and other wildlife. Also includes a tour of Penny Creek where we will pass multimillion dollar waterfront homes, likely see dolphins, and views on the Ocean Course, site of the 2012 and 2021 PGA championship. Picks up from Wappoo Cut, Sol Legare, or Folly Landings Recommended duration 3+ hours
- Capers Island/ Boneyard Beach: located north of Isle of Palms, Capers is a pristine barrier island with one of the most unique driftwood formations in the world. Picks up from Remley Point or Wappoo Cut. Because of the extended no wake zone in the ICW and an approximately a 10-20 minute walk upon arrival, we recommend allowing 4+ hours
- Morris Island: Close to Charleston Harbor, Morris Island has been the site of several historic forts (which no longer exist) and the Morris Island Lighthouse. Recent dredging activity in the harbor along with changing currents have eroded much of the island, but revealed long hidden artifacts and shark teeth. Picks up from Remley Point, Wappoo Cut, or Folly Landings. Minimum duration 3+ hours
- Botany Bay: Located in between Charleston and Edisto Island, this remote area is home to a state park and bird sanctuary. Enjoy pristine beaches away from the crowds. Picks up from Cherry Point or Bohicket Marina.
- Sunset – Tour the Charleston Harbor at the best time of day and experience the legendary lowcountry sunsets. Picks up from Wappoo Cut or Remley Point
